BioMIID User Guide
For new and returning BioMIID users, this hub contains information on the different procedures needed to run experiments on our next-generation microscopes. Click on the relevant section to see more detailed protocols.
Before putting hands on a microscope, new users first need to set up access to BioMIID Central, our centralized data storage server, and reserve the instruments through our equipment calendars.

Once a user is set up and scheduled on a microscope system, we will provide detailed training on instrument operations. We have set up an in-house image acquisition pipeline for each microscope, although more advanced users can discuss custom acquisition set-ups with our team.

Image viewing & analysis
Image data produced from our microscopes can be extremely large (Gigabytes to Terabytes per experiment). To help users navigate their data, we also provide access to our suite of image viewing & analysis workstations.
